Twyrl's Origins

Entrepreneur Chris Furlong and his sister-in-law, Chef Anka, brought their families to Europe for the vacation of a lifetime and were enamored with a tiny bistro in Venice that served fresh pasta with a wide selection of sauces and toppings. Besides the amazing quality of the product, what also appealed to them was the quaint, casual atmosphere of the place and the speed in which the food reached your plate. Upon returning to the states the fabric of their business model took shape. It took two years to find the right location and when the spot at 315 Broadway in Arlington became available they jumped.

Twyrl Bistro opened in 2017 to rave reviews (click here to see many of them). Dedicated to replicating what they found in Venice, Chris and Anka have worked hard to perfect the craft of preparing fine, healthy food with the intent of making it accessible to everyone… families looking for a healthy alternative to fast food, and friends and couples seeking their secret place for a quiet night out.
